Dr. Guillaume Gorincour is a pediatric and prenatal radiologist, who has big experience and expertise in pediatric, prenatal and pregnant women ultrasound imaging. Graduated from Marseille Medical School in 1999 where he was appointed Professor in September 2013, after residency in Marseille and Lyon and fellowship in Montreal in 2003. He has a PhD in Medical Ethics and was one of the French developers of Post-Mortem Imaging. Dr. Gorincour published more than 160 scientific publications. He’s now working in a private setting in Marseille at IMAGE2 (Mediterranean Institute for Medical Imaging of Women, Pregnancies and Children) and is affiliated to Université Paris Cité (URP 7328 Fetus) for his research activities on fetal imaging, where he manages 2 PhD candidates and a master student.
Dr. Vita Zidere, a renowned expert in fetal cardiac imaging, who has made significant contributions to the field, will talk about use of ultrasound technologies for first trimester cardiac scans. High-frequency transducers are pivotal for enhancing image resolution, allowing for a detailed assessment of the fetal heart. Techniques like Superb Microvascular Imaging (SMI) Doppler have revolutionized the way blood flow and cardiac structures are visualized, offering a non-invasive peek into the minute vascular details crucial for early diagnosis. Furthermore, Advanced Dynamic Flow Doppler has emerged as a valuable tool, providing high-resolution imaging and improving the detection of cardiac anomalies during the critical first trimester.
